I would like to know from people that have filed N-400 if you guys also filed form G-325A. I just filed my paperwork for citizenship and i was told i am required to file form G-325A (Biographic Information along with this form). I was told the reason for this is that USCIS does your employment etc check thruough your SS number. I thought they have all this information on N-400 when they do the employment verifcation, adderess verification, spouse verification etc. If i was required to file can i send in the G-325A form now? I sent the N-400 two days ago. I would appriciate any help someone can provide.

u don't need a G325A with the N400

Wrong. G-325 MUST need to be submitted along with N-400 if you are filing your Naturalization application based upon Military service; otherwise you don't need to submit G-325 along with your naturalization application.

Until 1999-2000 every applicant for naturalization needed to submit G-325 along with N-400. But since new version of N-400 came in picture in 2000/2001, there is no need to submit G-325 anymore because new version of N-400 asks all the information in itself which is asked on G-325. But Military personnels still need to submit G-325 along with N-400 despite of having new version of N-400. Why? I really don't know. But I guess, INS wants to know where military applicant lives and works at first glance by seeing the information on form G-325 than checking it over N-400.

Thank you sachinphadke and Johnnycash, i really appriciate you answering my question. I wonder why the lawyer is saying that i need to fill this out as mine was based on employment. I never saw it mentioned on the requirements for N-400 either, as Johnnycash mentioned it is with military service. Thanks again for your help.
