Hello,
I forogot to mention two speeding violation on my N-400. I only rememebered this when I obtained my driving record for some other purpose. My FP are done and I am awaiting an Interview letter.

Do I have to file and amended N-400 or can I just mention that during my interview?

ND: 11/30/06
FP: 12/26/06
Washington DC office.

Thanks,

Please do the following:

1. Contact the court wherein each of the tickets was processed and obtain a court certified dispostion about the ticket.

2. Take it to your interview and tell the officer. There is no need for an amended N-400.

As long as they were not DUI related and/or no arrest was made and each of the tickets was under $500.00 you will be fine otherwise please contact a lawyer for advice.

Yep as long as they weren't DUI or over $500 you don't need to do a single thing. He will probably ask if you've ever been to court. If you have they then may or may not ask you for a court disposition (for whatever offence).

For me, I didn't put any of my multitude of tickets on my N-400. He asked if I had ever gone to court, I told him yes 2 times. He asked what for and I just said a speeding ticket and rolling stop through a stop sign. He just asked if any drugs/alcohol were involved or if it was over $500. I told him no and that was it.

They are not interested in regular speeding tickets. Only those that have a criminal offence and police action taken against you is what they are looking for...

Being over-prepared is always a good idea because although most IOs don't care about speeding tickets, there are some picky ones out there that will demand paperwork for everything.
