Help...Forgot to enclose fingerprint fee

When my friend sent his wifve's i 485, he forgot to enclose the $70 fingerprint fee. Will USCIS reject his I485 application or send him a notice to pay up?

Moreover, since he sent her work permit aplication together with the I485 will it(work permit application) be rejected? He did enclose the correct amount for the work permit.

They will reject your application I believe and send it back to you. At that point just send back the same stuff but with the correct amount on the checks.

We didn't submit fingerprint fee and they send a NOA requesting for it. We sent it back in 2 days and everything was fine.

When i submitted my application i forgot to sign the checks (i've prepared them earlier and figured i'd sign em right before sending the package, and i never did). The returned the whole package to me, i signed them and sent it back, the whole thing cost a delay of 2 weeks, no biggie.

Interesting, a friend of mine wrote the wrong amount on the check and they sent everything back to him. But then again, uniformity was never USCIS's main character trait!
