Forget FP Fees

I sent in my I-130, I-485 & etc. last week. I didn't know that there is a finger print fee of $50 and so I didn't enclosed a check for that. Does anyone know what will happen to my application?

Thanks!

they send it back to you and you have to resubmit

I never knew about the fingerprint issue either. The Chicago office returned my 485 application and I had to resubmit it with the extra $50 bucks for the fingerprints (no cash or checks, they don't trust you...money orders or bank checks only.)

Good luck

They will send you a notice to submit the cheque for $50.00.

I paid by personal cheque, got no problem with it. I don't know about merlion but if you read in the instruction in the forms, they accept personal cheque. Just make sure you have money in the bank. Its easy with BCIS, you don't pay it correctly, they won't process it.

I also traced my 13 numbers from my returned personal cheque from the bank before BCIS sent me the NOA.

Thanks Merlion and Kitaorang!

My application was returned to me last Sat. It took INS less than 2 weeks. I'm surprised they act so quickly.

By the way, I used personal checks.
