Foreign assignment - I485 consequences?

There is a possibility of a foreign assignment at work - 6 weeks to 3 months in my home country. Does this jeopardize my case in any way? Could someone please let me know the consequences re my application? Thanks so much.

I think as long as you get paid in us $ and you get a paystub, you should be fine. Don't know for sure but how INS would know that you are going out for assignment or for vacation.

Thanks. I will check with my lawyer if it looks like a strong possibility. I was concerned about amount of time outside the US. We'll see. Thanks for the response.
 
time outside us should not be a problem as long as all the other stuff is in line (legal status, employment, etc.). as far as i know your application should continue to make progress if you are in or out but are paid by the same employer. this should be counted as business trip. disclaimer, this is not a legal advise. :)
