For Want!!Does receipt numbers mean anything ????

Want, the receipt numbers that we receive does that tell the year by the first 3/4 numbers ?? For example one of my friend got SRC 010465-----
What year that stands for? And SRC means Texas Service Center is that right? His ND is 2000. Please share your thoughts.

The first two numbers is "fiscal"year , which starts Oct1, the next three number is a day, which also starts from Oct1.
So , your friend number 01046 means , that they registered application on November 15-16 of year 2000
