For those whose 1st FP expired.

My 1st FP was on 05/22/2002 and I went to ASC for early finger printing and phot for my 3rd EAD (filed electronically) in ATLANTA, GA on saturday afternoon. They allowed us due to less people. I talked to the supervisior after EAD fingerprining process over and explain her about my I-485 finger print expired and she took our 2nd FP for me, my wife and my son. Very good experience..now waiting for approvals..

So worth trying it..

Do you still have the first FP notice? In my case, when I went for the first FP at New Rochelle, NY application support center (ASC), they kept the original notice with them - and only gave me a signed/stamped receipt-like paper as a proof of appearance for FP.

FP1: 04/30/2002
FP2:??/??/200?
 
Remember both you and your lawyer gets the FP notice. So I think I have 1 copy.

Good point. Then no harm in trying. In my case, I have no lawyer as I filed I-485 myself. So no 2nd copy!

Does going early for 2nd FP make a difference?

I'm not sure why you would take time to go and do that if in fact, they are planning to approve your case without 2nd FP. It seems like an unneccessary step and one that might not make a difference with BCIS.

However, this is just my thought. Please correct me if I'm thinking incorrectly. Thanks!
 
scottgirl, have you heard of any case approved without the 2nd fp, please let me know becasue i dont think so that is possible, though lawyers say that, because if they do not say that, then the client woudl bouther them for getting a 2nd fp for them, i have only seen cases, approved only like a week top 10 days after fp expired, so guess that , that case was in hands of officer before the fp get expired, other wise i would like to hear what is going on without 2nd fp

Is APPLICATION NUMBER of 2nd fingerprint notice different from 1st one, or the same ?
It looks like FPS*012345678.
 
My colleague was approved without 2nd FP

Her FP expired in July 03. Her interview was in October and she was approved and stamped same day. There wasnt any need for 2nd FP.

In Newark NJ, it doesn't work

When I wanted to do so , they clearly told me they need the notice to process the FP.

Other offices, I really don't know
 
Scotgirl you have mentioned in a post that there were cases which got approved after RFE and FP expired, can u point us to one of them. I tried searching but came up with none.
Also, when does the FP expiration count from, the day you did it or the day INS received the results ?
The reason I am asking is I did my FP1 sometime in 1st week of Aug 02 and results were received sometime in the 2nd week. Got a RFE and reply received as per website is Dec 17th 03. So if my case gets approved in the next 15-20 days I am fine, else should I expect a 2nd FP ?
Any similar experiences/thoughts on the above ?

Did you bring 1st FP notice (applicant copy or attorny copy) ?
