I recently sent in my AOS application and got the NOAs back saying that they will send me a letter with my FP/Bio dates. Is this a new procedure? I thought I would have the flexibility to call and make my own appointment. Has this happened to anyone else? How long did it take for them to give you a notice and when was your FP/Bio date? Thank you.

This is brand new. I have never heard of this. Did you send your application to Chicago Lock Box? EAD Renewal and USCIS will send me a biometrics schedule
I sent my EAD renewal Form and Documents to Chicago lock box. And they sent the receipt letter and mentioned that, they will send me another notice regarding where/when I have to go for biometrics. It's really a brand new procedure. More over they didn't put my MSC # in the online system. Good thing is that, they cash my check and put a MSC number next day of the documents received. Do you guys face this kind of issue? Please let me know.
