For those that think about going home

Dear Filers,

I know that is hard for us to consider some options such going back home. However due to our situation with this never ending delays it is something that some of us might be forced or consider to do. I think that some of us would have good reason to make an option for going back home and be free again. I know that most of us came to this country because of the lack of opportunity back home. However after worked in here for five, six or even seven years like many of us it is quite different that when we came.
As example of what I am saying we can think of:
a- After all this time we learned a lot and we are problably in better shape that when we came. We mastered technologies that were not available to us when we were at home.
b- Also we have learned the American way of doing business and how to deal with people outside of our cultures.
c- We showed ourselves how strong we are by having the courage to come in here and compete with the natives in a situation that is not in our advantage and most of us that are still here are winners in this competion.
d- Most of us know a whole lot more people that can have some influence in business.
e- The export of jobs by opening international brenches and by association with foreing companies is a reality and there are a lot of American companies thinking about it and doing it.
All this said is quite possible that if some of us decide to go back home and start a business or association to provide the services we are doing here to even export it back to here, the American business is going to be hurt. It is competition for them and an advantage for us that would have a whole lot less cost with the same or superior quality.
Also there are some other nice countries that have a better imigration system such Canada and Australia, at least seam to be a fair system for work related imigration. This countries sometimes take advantage of the things that The USA does not care about such our value for the economy. I am thinking to go back home or to one of this countries myself.
The reason I am posting this here is because I am getting tired to see bright people like us baging BCIS for something that is right and they treat us like we are asking for charity. It is about time to get our heads up and show these people that we are not here asking for any charity. We might have our losses if they make us to leave, but I am sure that if that happens many of us are going to be in a better shape after the inicial impact of a move such change country again.

Best regards,

JLSBR:D

good one buddy

this after drinks or after drinks and dope. I am sure you will be here as will all of us on this board. see you around:rolleyes:

I believe Jlsbr was complete sound when he is wrinting it. And he is not alone with this kind of thought after so many years of frustration dealing with INS/BCIS/USCIS.

My friend who never came here except two months during just past summer got Rs 7 lacks job in GE Bangalore.

I myself was offered a job close to 12 lacks per annum in GE Bangalore. Most of the big companies are shifting their R&D in India. These are ABB, GE, and GM and many others.

If some body is expert in electrical machine design (FEM etc) and power electronics can get a job in GE Bangalore worth of Rs. 8 lacks to 12 lacks depending upon his/her experience.

Guys, it is not bad to go back, provided your children are ready to go back.

I will think of going back in 2006. I may open my own company on renewable energy system products.

God bless all of us.

Jlsbr... Way to go... Never depend on someone else. Give it a shot if you think something good can happen... Otherwise move on... It is not the end of the world.

patel

the movement you put a date out in future the probability of it happening is very low. if we are still around think of what i said in 2006:eek:  :p

Tombaan, it would depend on person to person.
Some people keep a goal for future and are focussed on that.
I know my elder brother is like that, works as a surgeon in UK and is determined to go back to home country.
Also, tombaan check your private messag, i had sent you one.

I agree with jlsbr to a certain extent. I wonder that it's gonna be a while before I get my citizenship (if I get it) considering the following situation:

1) Applied for GC in May 01, ND Jul. 30, 01.
2) If things go smooth, I probably get my GC in Jun. 04
3) Should be able to apply for citizenship in Jun 09
4) It will probably take a year or so to get it

Based on this calculation, I will become a US citizen in 2011!!!

Since I came in 1991, I may not be able to fit in back home after spending 20 years away from home. :(
