like me, you do have to worry about a lot, because USCIS seem to never update your record even if I have changed the address twice in the local office and two times with VSC. But still they sent out my GC to my old address. What a mess! Fortunately, the congressman office called me yesterday and told me that something went over to my old address, which gave me a clue to track down the letter, that a friend of mine happens to get hold of it. Big thanks to her!
One little suggestion: if you ever moved and filed AR-11 change of address with USCIS during your I-485 pending period, just be aware that you do have some "preventive measure" in case USCIS mess up with your home address or something. If not you know the result, the mail is going to return to USCIS who will hold it till you request an inquiry, which will certainly take anyway from 3 to 6 months. If you did move, you could ask your former neighbor to take care of it for you or you can simply pay certain amount of fee to USPS for extending the mail forwarding service. USPS could only do it for just one year, beyond that you have to pay...
Good luck to you all!
