For those Frustrated with Long delay

Especially those who are waiting for 2+ yrs in I485 queue ( some of you might have replied to RFE long back), why don't you go to Vermont before Sept'1 ?

I have the same question. If the name check is pending in FBI, how walk in can help? Any idea?

Does it make sense if I walk in (with 485 ND in 2003)? My 140 is cleared and I haven't received FP notice yet. There has been no activity in my case for 6 months now.

If i were you, i will still go there. At least i can present my problems and ask them to give me some time lines. How long do they expect you to wait for security clearance ? Not giving a clear answer is not an answer. You have to fight for your GC. Otherwise some times it will be delayed for years. Ask them to give a conditional approval if FBI does not get back to them. Start a diologue and see. All you lose is one day pay if you don't have any leave.

It doesn't make sense, i guess. The current processing date is Aug'2002. So any one with RD after that date may not get any thing from them.
