Sunny,

thanks for your posts and suggestions. They certainly help all of us.
I have sent a fax to TSC a couple of days ago requesting them to expedite my case and also to tell me my case status. Today I have recd a reply from TSC saying that my FP have expired on 4/10 (INS has recd them on Jan 10, 2000 ....I gave the FP on Dec 7,1999). My wife\'s FP also has expired according to that fax. They mentioned that they are going to send me a FP redo notice in the next 30 to 90 days.
I don\'t why they need to wait that long to issue a FP redo notice. Looks like TSC just want to pursue some time by dragging the matters this way. Last time some IIO told me that they will not issue redo until 1 month after the expiry as they will try to approve the case so that they can avoid redoing of FP. So, in my case, the earliest that they will issue FP redo is only after May10 or so.

I have seen a couple of postings of approvals of EB3-TSC-INDIA whose PD is 9/97 and 485 ND of Sep/Oct 99. I am not sure what is TSC\'s processing criteria. I hope they have not started their style of random approvals as they did last year.

SunnyKoka, please keep posting your views/experiences as they benift us a lot. Unlike VSC board, we do not see many posts here on TSC 485 board.

any other suggestions that I can follow to expedite my case?

thanks,

Sunny,

Thanks a lot for posting your suggestion here. I faxed my details over to (214)489-4012. I also tried (214)767-7654 and it\'s eternally busy. Hope I receive something back.

Desi90210,what number did you fax it to and did you get a response from the same number? Just curious. Thanks.

VSV,

I have faxed to both the numbers that you mentioned. I got reply back from 214-489-4012. It was a hand written reply on the same page that I have sent them.

Desi90210 and VSV,

I would advise you to wait till around May 7th.
If you dont hear anything about your cases by then, its better you go to your local ASC ( FP center ) and try to get your FP done while you are waiting for an FP redo notice. This is what I did.
Take your old original FP notice or courtesy copy and try your luck.
You can go the ASC that is mentioned in your FP notice.

TSC will probably schedule you for FP redo in June/July like they did for me and they will send you the new FP notice only after a month
( maybe more ). I still haven\'t received my FP redo notice yet, but I did my FP using my old notice on April 21st. FBI cleared my FP on April 24th. I\'m now going to give it 3 weeks time to get updated in the INS system. After that I\'ll go all out for an approval by calling/faxing TSC and contacting senators, etc. ( You can get your senator info with phone numbers, etc from www.Congress.org )
One factor that might work in our favour is that the TSC processing date might jump to 08/01/1999 from May 6th onwards.

I gave a detailed description of my experience at the ASC ( about not volunteering too much information ) in one of my postings in isn.org

Thanks,

Sunny

Sunny,

Thanks for your suggestion to wait until end of May 1st week. I was also thinking of waiting atleast till that time before giving it a try to give unscheduled FP.

You said "One factor that might work in our favour is that the TSC processing date might jump to 08/01/1999 from May 6th onwards"....
Is there any reason why you think it would move from May6?

VSV, you said you have started a thread from the senator\'s office. Could you please give more details about it.

I have contacted senator\'s office recently and they did enquire with TSC about my case. The response was an usual "we are processing 485s of July 99", "since your 485 was recd in Aug 99, it would take another month or two before they take up your case" etc etc. Those calls didn\'t give any other new information (except the fact that they have 70,000+ pending 485 cases with only 7 IIOs to work on them).
Today when my wife contacted INS to enquire about her pending AP at TSC, she also enquired about our 485 cases. The IIO told that our case is now in "Congressional Section" and these IIOs have no access to it. The IIO further said that only the "congressional" people can make enquiries and get the info about my case. I think the movement of my case to another section from the regular stream could be because of the enquiries from senator\'s office. I really do not know if this transfer is advantageous to me or not. I hope it would not cause any further delay in the processing of my case. At this stage, I certainly do not want to slip from bad to worse.

I will keep you all posted if I find any new developments in my case.

good luck to you all

All I did was give the senator\'s office permission to inquire about my case (a letter - standard format was provided by them which needed my endorsement). In my covering letter,I told them about my concern regarding FP expiry and also about the facts that we already are aware of like # of pending cases and stuff. I sure hope that our approvals come soon \'cos we\'ve paid the price LONG enough! I sure wish Sunny\'s prediction about not having to redo FPs comes true:-). All the best.
