You are the only active member left here who has same RD/ND date as mine. Why not we keep in touch about any development. I contacted FBI about name check and FP. I got the respone for My FP, it has sent on same day, but I haven't received any response for name check.

Did you contact anybody?

I too have the same rd and nd as yours. I got approval a week ago.

I contacted the Ombudsman and called USCIS 1-800 number. I don't which one worked, but got approval. Please look at my signature for details.

Actually mine is in July, anyway close.
Completed Early FP2.
Faxed to FBI for namecheck this week, no reply yet.
LUD is 06/08/04 for FP2 received, but only for me not spouse even though both us together completed FP2.
 
Planning to Call

I am also planning to call INS 1-800 number sometime this week. My LUD is changed on 06/14 after that no development. OMGV, Did you call INS?

I am April filer. RD is 4/10/02. Still waiting.
I sent inquiry by fax and got the response in a week thru mail saying 'your case is currently in review and you will hear the notification shortly'. I wonder what is their def. for 'Short period'.

BTW OMGV, LUD after FP2 is same for my family too.
 
Just Called them

I just called 1-800 number and they are useless, Customer Service Rep said the same thing like your Fp is received on Aug 16 , 2002. I reminded her I did my FP2 on May 1st and talked to FBI and FBI said they have sent my FP result the same day. Customer Service Rep said they have not received it, then I initiated the enquiry and got standard answer "I will hear within 30 days"

When did do ur FP2? Was it on scheduled date at scheduled place?
 
My dates are close to yours. Lets keep in touch.

I called USCIS on 09/02/2004 and initiated
status enquiry. So far no response. In the meantime on 09/13 i faxed a
letter requesting Name Check Status and no response yet. It is frustrating
man.

RD: 06/26/2002
ND: 07/01/2002
FP1: 08/22/2002
FP2: 03/04/2004
FP3: 06/03/2004
RFE: 06/15/2004 (w2 forms, pay stubs)
RFE Update: 07/07/2004 (on uscis web site)
 
Got Response from FBI

Today morning I got the call from FBI about name check, They said, my name check has been done and sent back to INS back in Jan 2003. That time my FP 1 was also valid I don't know why INS did not approve my case.

I already got the response for my FP2, That is also sent to INS on May 1st

OmGV, MY Fp2 was scheduled in Newark, but I did early FP at California.
 
I am praying really hard for you guys to get your approval soon. It is so sad people approved infront of you :( . Best of luck!!

I did in Dec 2003 and my wife did in July 2004(Early FP2,diff. place), In august 2004 my LUD changed (but message is same).

I don't know if there are others who did a FP2 on May 1 on different location.

BTW, When did u send fax to FBI for name check?
I sent it this week.
I got the ususl reply of 30 days when i called USCIS NSC last week.
 
I didn't fax anything I called them and left voice message and they called me back.

Why did you call NSC? I also initiated enquiry this week, got usual reply will hear within 30 days.
 
HI Friends,

I want to check my NAME CHECK with FBI. Is it necessary that I-140 should be cleared before we initiate this inquiry with FBI ?
