For I-485 adjustment, do we need to send copy of passport?

One of the instructions for Form I-485 states: Proof of any absences from the U.S. since you have been granted asylum. For example: photocopies of pages in refugee travel document or passport. My thing is I have not been out of the US since I have been granted asylum. So does that mean I do not have to submit any copy of my passport?

I seem to remember that previously, we had to submit copy of our passport in previous applications. Appreciate any advice from anyone.

I did not send copies of my passport. I did send copies of my RTD since I had taken a vacation in that period using my RTD. In your case, since you have not been outside of USA, you do not have to show any proof of any absence which you have not had.

Is there any way that they could find out if you've been to your home country????

How are you going to visit your home country? Using your National Passport?

I haven't been outside US either, so I just sent my lease and a letter from my employee proving that I was physically presented in U.S. for the period of one year.

You can type a letter with the title "ABSENCES FROM U.S SINCE GRANTED ASYLUM"

And write underneath it, I, your name, have no ABSENCES from United States since I was granted asylum on xx,xxxx.

Signed
(notarize).
