For GKothari-Folks interested in Interview Scheduling details at Mumbai Consulate

I have read on this forum that you had pestered mumbai consulate to assign you a Sep interiview. Since your case was sent to the consulate on July 30th. I will be in a similar situation. With the only difference being that I would be cajoling and begging for a Decemeber interview.

Can you please let me know what did you have to do to get a Sep Interview.

When did you start emailing or calling up the Mumbai Consulate. Was is after they received your case and was it before.

Furthermore can you provide your insight into the interview cut-off date scheduling. For e.g I am shooting for Dec, what does that mean in terms of Dates. Such as what would be the cut-off date for December or any other month.

If your papers are mailed from NVC around 15th of the month (say July), then you got reasonably good chance of getting interview appointment in 2nd month from that month (i.e. July + 2 = September).

You may send emails starting end of month (assuming consulate would receive it in 10 days time) asking for interview date and sending special request, why you need it in December.... Try calling them up around first week of the next month (i.e august in above example)....

I did send them couple of fax as well with same contents as email. I am not sure, what actually helped... I think my telephonic conversation with Operation, must have helped me to get Septermber date.
