Hi,
RD for my 485 is 12/31/01. Still no sign of approval yet. My H1 is about to expire this June 18th. I have EAD and AP (but didnt use them till now).
My question is :

1. If my H1 expires, will i be automatically changed to EAD Status ?

2. If my company me off when I am on EAD , what r the problems that i have to face ??

have you exhausted the total time limit for H1, or just the present H1 visa is getting expired which can be renewed further for some more time?

For the former situation , i believe you know about the new rule that H1 extension can be allowed for another year beyond 6 year, in case I485/labor/I140 is pending for more than 1 year.

For the second scenario, your company can file for extension....if they are not ready to file for renewal, you may switch to EAD with the same employee for the same job and you should be fine.

No. You have to fill up the I-9 form(do not remember it, I think). Your HR people will know it.

EAD is still valid. The only problem that I see is getting a new job!!
