For CP, any particular format for Birth and Marriage Certificates?

Under NIW category for CP at Mumbai,I wish to find out if there is any particular format/details which are essential on the birth and marriage certificates?

For BC,

Name:
DOB:
POB:
Hospital:
Fathers Name:
Mothers Name:

Are ALL the above essential? Any other info required?

Must be these exactly as they appear in the passport? What if they differ?

For MC,

Names:
Place:
Date:
Name of Marriage Hall,etc:

Are ALL the above essential? Any other info required?

For BC make sure it has child's first name, both parents FIRST and LAST NAME, date of birth and place of birth.

Ideally these should be the same as in the passport. If there is a discrepancy in passport get it rectified (recommended in general, not required) and also get 2 affidavits from each of the parents/ elder siblings/ relatives/ friends...in this order)

For MC,
First and Last Name of the bridegroom
MAiden First and Last Name of the bridel
First and Last name of 3 Witnesses (preferrably one of each parent and one other witness or basically 3 witnesses) with residential addresses - This is a requirement under Hindu Marriage act.
Date of marriage

These are documents issued by Government bodies and they
will have their format, and there isn't much you can suggest
by way of changes.

Just make sure where ever the names are mentioned they are
full and without mistakes. Rest is verification of facts contained
in the documents.

Place of MArriage, Date of marriage

Hmm! I don't think that all the govt. issued marriage certificate has all the info as above.

Esp. I have not see the witness names/signatures as well as the place of marriage.

I'll have to check mine. But I'm sure it is not there and the govt. is not going to change the format for me. :(
