For Cases transferred to Local Offices

Hi,
For cases that are transferred to Local Offices, we need to file EAD at Chicago Lock Box office. When we file at Chicago, the receipt number starts with MSC(Missouri Service Center) which says that the I-765 application currently is processing Nov 29, 2004 applications.

In this case of MSC receipt numbers, do we need to follow Vermont Processing Times since 485 was filed in Vermont and then transferred to local offices or follow Missouri Service Center processing times since our receipt numbers start with MSC.

Please clarify.. Any thoughts!! :confused: :confused: :confused:
 
It depends on your state of residence.
There is a list of states if you live there, you should file to Chicago, and another list, if you live there, you should file i guess in the center where you initially filed I-485, even after transfer.
I definitely know that for me, while I live in MD and my file is transferred to Baltimore, I should file EAD to VSC. This was confirmed by an officer in local Baktimore office in Jan.
I think they are in some transition process and this rule may change soon and maybe then everybody should file to Chicago, maybe after april or so...
