I recently saw the posting that for both of you, the mother's case has been approved.

Can you please post your timeline as to when you applied and how long it took before you got the final approval ?

I have applied for my mother but there has been no approval yet.
We only got a LUD of June 19,2006 and our NOA receipt was Feb 21, 2006

I am not sure how long we need to wait before we get the approval

Here is the timeline for my parents:
December, 2004 -- Sent I-130, I-485, I-693, I-864
February, 2005 --- Fingerprints appointment
July 7, 2005 ------ Interview
June 12, 2006 ---- Mothers case is approved, GC will arrive soon
Father's case is stuck in name check

Is your mother's case AOS or CP?
In any case, you can see the timelines for approvals for both (CP and AOS) in this sticky thread for Parents GC. From this, you should be able to get an idea how long it takes in your DO or Service center.
