I just got married, and my i485 is pending. Theoretically, my wife will have the follow to join benefits according to the government web site. My questions are :
1) When do I need to file my I824 ? Does my I485 have to be approved before wife's I824 gets approved ? My concern is: if I file wife's I824 now, before my I485 gets approved, how will the consulate/or INS know that i am GC holder ? Will they wait for the decision on my I485 ?
2) What documents have to be filed with I-824 other than marriage certificate and her birth cetificate ? (copies of my labor cert, I140, receipt of I485, I94...?)
