Folks,

I need help with the procedure of "Follow to Join"

Here is the situation:
- I applied for my GC and am currently at 485 completion stage. It has not been approved yet but will very soon.
- I got married very recently and want to file I-824 for my spouse who is in India.

Here is what I need help with:
- How much time it takes if we opt for CP process for her?
- What documents do I need to include with I-824 application?
- How do you tell/clarify INS/US Embassy, New Delhi that you were married before your I-485 approval?

Since I had to rush back to US (gotto to save the job first these days before marriage!!!!!), I did not get any documents about my marriage with me, so the question is:

- What documents should I ask for? I mean I can ask a friend to collect them for me?

- I am Muslim and we have Nikhahnamaa, do I need to still get
a marriage certificate from registrar or can I submit the Notarized copy of the translation, which basically states the same thing.

- Is there anything I need to know about this process.

FTJ takes a long time and a tidious process. Since your
case has not been approved yet.
bring her immediately on H4, if you
have H1 and apply for her 485.
