follow-to-join derivative 485 priority date?

If the primary applicant submitted 485 first, and his derivative follow-to-join a year later, does the derivative have to go through the same line as all the other 485 applicants? Or might it be faster for her?

Anyone here has such experience? I am curious as we are seeing some WAC03 and even WAC04 approved. Wondering if these are derivative cases.

It is the same queue normally. On rare occasions both cases might be adjudicated together, but for most part, it is the RD that matters and not the derivative status.
