Any ideas on how to show support for this bill?

I bet...

it is one of those bills that give a leg up to all the illegals infesting the country...now that the time is leading up to an election year, the republians are trying to get cheap labor while the dems are trying to get cheap votes...and all the people patiently waiting for 485/EAD/AP and worring about jobs changes/I-94s/salary changes will be ignored .

I don't see any such bill pending before the congress. 440 is not a valid bill number, (I think) bills are not numbered like this.

Even if it is valid ( mistyped it), don't get too exiceted about it, this is never gonna pass (pass! hell it will never go in front of even a committe, let alone full house).

We are in the period where they are denying green cards to eligible candidates by delaying the things to the extremes. This so called bill is a far cry.

There is a hidden agenda of republicans to reduce immigration. They can't do it by law so they are using short cut by delaying the things to the point where 1. either applicant will fed up and quit 2. or she/he will lose job -> either way no green card.

2 years ago, INS was buried under pile of H1s/H4s yet they were not only able to process H1s quickly but also 485 (in couple of months). I hardly see any H1 pressure anymore. What the hell are they doing sitting in those offices.

Thanks Mr. Bush.

Thanks Mr. Bush.

Before 2000 presidential election couple of my (immigrant) colleagues were firm support for Bush because of following reasons -

1. we are higher middle class, so Bush's tax cut is going to help us (software engineer with pretty big paychecks).

2. Bush is going to stop all the cannot-speak-english-and-driving-car-with-no-insurance mexicans coming to America (especially southern california). so "our" live will be better.

3. Bush is going to open Alaska wildlife refuge for oil-drilling. The gas will be cheaper (isn't that cheap enough). so we will save more money.

Anyway, we came a long way after that election. I got $300 check from IRS and I don't remember what I did with that money. Gas price didn't get cheaper. but yes we got Iraq.
