Just wanna give you guys about the timeline of these requests:
I got all my I485 paperwork and FBI name check results back, however:
I-485 requests: it took about a year. six months after I sent them the request, calling in, "the good news is that it was scanned into the system and being processed". "so how soon will I receive it?" "wait another six months". It did arrive after six months.
FBI requests: it took about 8 months. I did not call in, did not know the number... unlike I-485 one, did not receive their receipt with the phone number which I could call.
