FOIPA reply from FBI

Folks, I applied for my FBI FOIPA and asked to be checked against both main and index files but I guess FBI just checks the main files. This is the following response I received. Just wanted to know if this is the standard wording:

"No records responsive to your FOIPA request were located by a search of the automated indices.".

Which I am assuming to mean "no records". Is this pretty much the same wording that other folks have received? Would appreciate replies from folks who requested the same.

TIA

Yes, they check only main files and it does not tell one if one will not get stuck in name check. The use of this letter is only if one decides to file a WOM case.

sriabap, I received exactly the same. 'To promptly respond to requests, we concentrate on ... main files...'. Well, it _was_ quick.

There is also Fact Sheet attached, that describes drastic difference between name check and FOIPA. 99.9% of FOIPAs they receive, are related to name check problem, I guess.

Service request

Wait till your PD gets 30 days behind official processing time for your DO, call Customer Service and open service request. They will collect your basic info, as if they can't see any details of your case in their system, and, as in my case, in just a few days you'll get a letter from USCIS explaining the reason of the delay.
