FOIPA- Name check pending

Few minutes ago I have sent a request FOIPA. I searched for the word in the forum. got the link http://foia.fbi.gov/privacy_request.pdf FOIPA request. filled it . Notorized it and sent it by snail mail.

That is it right? Should I need to do anything for FOIPA?

So far for this:
1. Contacted FBI by e-mail
2. Sent letters to FBI
3. Contacted Congress man
4. Sent FAX to FBI
5. Sent FOPIA
anything else I am missing.
 
no body worries FOIPA name check. it has nothing to do with FBI name check. no body has problem with FOIPA and it is fast. many people have problem with FBI name check. Nobody knows exactly what the differences are. this check could take one week to several years and nobody can push FBI to rush the check because of national security. :mad:
 
Thanks. I thought based on the information from this forum that I could use the FOIPA information to support my case when I ask for any help to expediate my case. But anyways....

That was a false assumption. FOIA will not help you in expediting your namecheck. Using FOIA you can make FBI to do a search on you in their unclassified CRS (their central database). Unfortunately this is useless, as the namecheck involves classified documents, which will NOT be released to you or anyone else without an appropriate security clearance.

Seems like you had to wait 2 years for your name check.Did you try to expide your case? Is there any way the whole process can be expedited? Please let me know.

Yes, I did all imaginable things to expedite it and nothing worked. However, my employer was able to get a hold of someone in FBI NNCP who did it within less than 2 months.

I was thinking of filing a lawsuit to expedite this process.
