FOIA - Copy of I-140 and the underlying LC using FOIA

My employer did not provide me the copy of Labor certification and I-140 approval. I would like to request BCIS to provide me the copy of I-140 approval and the underlying labor certification by applying G-639(Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Request).

Is there any disadvantage of using FOIA to obtain copy of I-140 approval and the underlying labor certification? Does anyone think that it might trigger transfer to local office or is there any other disadvantage????

I know bumblebee used FOIA for the same. I would like to hear about the first hand experience and also other valuable suggestion/opinion.
 
I guess Alien00 requested his file by using FOIA.. Ask him for more info or see all his postings...
