I am trying to educate myself on this FNU matter.
A friend of mine has only 1 name. Let's say his name is Metan. His birth certificate only print the word "Metan" on it. His visa has the following info:
First name: FNU (First Name Unknown)
Last name: Metan
I didn't know how it happened, but his paperwork printed as the following:
First name: Metan
Last name: FNU
He told the lawyer about this "confusion" and lawyer wrote letter to USCIS to made his name as follow:
First name: Metan
last name: FNU
AKA
first name: FNU
last name: Metan
Metan recently got his asylum case approved. The letter from court house prints his name as follow:
Fnu, Metan
a.k.a
Metan, Fnu
He is now ready to apply for his EAD. I noticed in I-765 form that you can (and probably should) print both names (line 1 & line 2 for "other name").
What I want to know is what will be printed on EAD card with a person who has alias for name information. Perhaps one of you might know the answer. Appreciate for sharing your experience/info...
p.s.
this might be not the right category...but couldn't find the one for EAD related thread...sorry about it.
