fixing an appointment for medicals

Hi guys,
A question on medicals. If one finds out their appointment date from the consulate's website, can they make a medical appointment without actually having the appointment letter in hand? Thanks.
 
My interveiw is scheduled for March 21, 2005 at NWD. I have not yet received packet 4 - but I was able to schedule the medical examination at Apollo.

I am not a Lawyer and this is not a legal opinion.

+91 11 268 25573 (Direct) or +91 11 269 25858 extn. 1840 or 1836. You need to contact the International Office Monday to Friday 9am to 5.30pm (IST). The time for the medical examination is between 2 to 5. They charge INR 1450 per adult and INR 850 per child. They do accept credit cards. You need to bring the interview appointment letter, passport for each applicant, and 3 passport size photographs and immunization records if available. If not, available the Doctor will indicate, which shots one has to take. In such cases the immunization will have to be bought from the pharmacy. The results will be given after two days.

U can schedule the appt. without any evidence. Though (most likely) they will ask for your interview letter when you go for the medicals.
