I know this is pure speculation, but I was wondering if anyone has an opinion on how the fiscal cliff will affect processing times, or whether it has already affected them. I notice that the charts for processing times haven't been updated for a couple of months. Perhaps if they don't have time to update the website, they must really be busy. If Congress can't work out a deal, I wonder if a lot of the people processing these petitions and applications will get laid off, causing immigrants to have to wait a lot longer.
