First time traveling out of Country..

Background info. regarding my case:

I have not traveled out side USA since I came to USA in 1991.
Only VISA stamp I have is in my First passport. I am presently on my Third passport as previous ones have expired.

I have been on H1-B Status since 1996. I just received my AP. And planning to go to India soon.

I need help with following questions:
==========================

1. What are the risks if any, of me traveling out of country on AP?

2. What paper work I should carry with me?

3. Anything else I need to know if I decide to travel?
 
Dont see any problem as long as you have your AP.
Carry your EAD with you as well which may be asked for when you return to the US and are taken for Secondary Inspection.

Just make sure you have the proper Transit Visa's (if required) depending on where you are heading and thru which country you are traveling.

Carry all Passports with you. Do not volunteer any information. Just give your recent passport and if they ask, you can provide the previous expired passports.
