I need urgent help for the stamping confusion.

I have converted my L1 status to H1 last year and worked for company A for 3 months and then switch to big company B, on their payroll. Since 1 yr, I have been working with them but now I am thinking to get the stamping done because my L1 stamp got expired more than 2 yrs ago.

I really need someones advice for the stamping. Can I go to Canade for the first time H1 stamping?

Appreciate for someone response..

I assume that you have your H-1B approval notice in hand already to work for Company B. If that's the case, yes, you can apply for your H-1B visa stamping. As to the location of stamping, at least Consulates in Toronto, Ottawa and Vancouver will process "first-time" H-1Bs. But if you got your H-1B approvals based on a degree you earned from a college in a country other than the U.S. or Canada, I wouldn't recommend going to Canada.

URGENT : Need Some advice

Even though, I have education evaluation with me.

Wouldn't it help me for the Firts time stamping on H1?

The evaluation may or may not help. Here is what the Consulate in Ottawa says:

"First time H-1B visa applicants who earned their qualifying academic degree outside the U.S. or Canada are strongly urged to apply in their home countries, as Ottawa Consular officers are generally unable to evaluate foreign academic credentials."

It's your call. If a Consulate rejects your visa application for any reasons, you won't be able to come back to the U.S. thus you will be stuck in Canada until you get your visa stamping there or you will need to go back to your home country anyway.
