One of my friend has been in US for almost 3 years now and had come to US on L1 visa. He managed to get a job on H1B and switched
over. He has never been to India ever since he changed this visa status to H1B.
Now, he needs to travel to Canada for some business for 7-10 days and return back to US.
The question he has is, can he go to Canada ( I think Toronto ) , get the visa stamped there and then return to USA?
Note:- He has never got a H1B visa stamped in his passport. ( Though he has L1 stamped )
Also, as per his analysis he mentions that he was told by some other friends that not all consulates in Canada allow first time
H1B stamping for non-Canadians, is this true? And if yes, does anyone know which consulates permit this type of stamping?
Appreciate your responses and comments.
