Hi Everyone -
I tried searching for this but didn't really find any similar question (so sorry for repeating it if it was already answered).
I can to the US on a F1 visa; completed school here, got a job and am now on H1b. I've never left the US during this whole period; as such, I only have a F1 visa stamp on my passport which has expired now.
The Question: Is it possible for me to travel to Canada and apply for a first time H1B Visa stamp or do I need to return to my home country (Pak)? I suspect I'd still get stuck in Canada with the clearance checks, but the initial process is lot faster.
Also, have people experienced a overall difference b/w various US Consulates in Canada i.e. Calgary vs Ottawa?
Thanks in advance.
