First time entry (port of entry) to US on H1-B

Hi Everyone,

My friend is coming on H1-B sometime this month.His consulting company (h1 sponsor ) is Texas based. He is planning to arrive to US via San Fransisco and intends to spend a first few days at SFO and then either move on to Texas or continue in SFO if he finds
a client . But he does not have his onward ticket for Texas as yet .

Is it a problem to have San Fransisco as Port of entry while H1 sponsor is in Texas based?
What are the possible questions? Please advise as it is very urgent for him.
