First time entry for Parents

I want to bring my Parents for my delivery in Feb'05.
My father is a retired Asst. Commissioner (he gets pension) and mother is a housewife. I have 2 younger sisters and both are in India. We own a home in India.
At this stage, if I provide all proper documents, will it be possible for them to get the visa.
By default, how many months/year visa will they be issued.

Make sure you do your paper-work well, and prepare them well for the interview. Dont send the mother alone.. let both your parents appear for interview together. (later you can decide if only one of them will come over)

Dont take any chances.. Send them for an interview atleast 2-3 months in advance so that if the visa gets rejected the first time, they can appear again (it takes atleast 2 months to get an interview date!!).
