Hi

I sent I-485 application to VSC on 24th july2001(with out EAD Application form).My first three(3) years H1-B visa getting expire on 30th Sept,2001.I have not yet received receipt from INS.What I
my attorney told me ,I can goto local INS service center
to get EAD before 30th Sept,2001 after receiving receipt .my EMPLOYER didn\'t applied for extension of myH1-B visa

My question is what is my status(am going out of status)if I have not received receipt before 29thsep2001 and can I work after 30th Sept 2001 without my EAD and my greencard process is going to trash?

please can any one advise me what to do,including myladoor.

I think you should apply for H1 extension. You would be in trouble if you do not receive your 485 receipt before your current H1 expires.
