first RFE and then 2nd FP....(2001 case)

My RFE went to my lawyer and today I received FP notices for both my wife and myself for the 2nd round! 1st one expireed for both of us!

Its funny I just felt llike I went back several years and having to start everything all over again:) Let's see where it all ends. I waited 14 years, I can try to wait some more time I guess:)

Anyways, the BIG question is my wife and my current EAD is expiring at the end of October 2004!!!! What do I do? Get busy with replying the long list of RFE and doing FP or at the same time apply for EAD renewal for us since its almost July already!!!

Any suggestion you'll nice people? Thanks a bunch!!

hmcis,
My reply will be hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Apply for EAD and at the same time reply RFE and give FP.

Good Luck...

similar situation

hmcis,

Your and my case is very similar. ND 09/01, FP-1 01/03 (expired). I went through my 2nd FP early June. No RFE has been issued yet. What a mess! Hang on buddy- what else can you do?

Hang in there!

I guess you will see your approval in a month or two just like us. We took our 2nd Fp on 5/4, INS acknowledged it on 5/10 (but it later changed to 5/14). We got our approval emails just an hour ago. Just my observation, it seems that it does take 6-8 weeks after the FP to get the approvals. It also happened to some other folks on this forum.

So hang in there, your turn will come soon :D

2nd FP notice recd for my daughter

Her FP expired on 4/30/04. We received new FP notice today. Looks like they are clearing all old pending cases.

So every one has go through second FP ?

I thought they clear some cases though they are more than 15 months after the first AP ?

Is that theory wrong ?

My first FP was done in Dec 2002 and ND was April 2002.

My papers have never been touched in the last many months ?

Any clues guys. Mine is also a more thana decade case ..........

Good Luck Guys..

I would strongly suggest you get your 2nd FP done ASAP.

I am not sure if NSC can help you getting the 2nd FP notice, it's worth the try. Our 1st FP was expired in late Feburary which was 3 weeks after we responded our RFE. We asked our lawyer if we should ask for the 2nd FP, and he said we don't have to do it. We were also taking the chance that the officer might approve our case within that period time. It proved that we should have had our 2nd FP scheduled. Our RFE was sitting there for more than 2 months and our ND became current for processing already. So we called NSC for a case inquiry. Within a month, we got a FP notice. It's very likely that the officer was looking into our case and found our FP was expired... I guess if our FP wasn't expired or had been redone, we could have been approved at that time. But instead, we had to redo the FP in May and ended up waiting for another 7 weeks to be approved. So just IMHO, better have a valid FP as they could process your case any time now...

Funny thing is I just sent our my EAD renewal a week before we got our approvals. INS might have cashed the check already. Wonder if I can get my money back... I waited and waited to try not to do my 4th renewal, but didn't want to risk it and sent the renewal application 100 days b4 it gets expired and then the approvals arrived...
