First Name - Goof Up

Guys I\'d appreciate it if anybody has had this experience. INS has SCREWED UP my first name in the Receipt Notice. I checked the 485 papers prepared by the attorney & they\'re OK. This seems to be an INS thing. Attorney says it is a harmless error. Have asked attorney to inform INS. Can anyone throw some light ? Much Appreciated

My receipt notice and my wife\'s receipt notice for 485, EAD and AP are all wrong. Both my name and my wife\'s name is wrong in the receipt notices.

But when we got the actual Advance Parole, mine and my wife\'s were correct.

But when we received the EAD, my name is misspelled, but my wife\'s is correct.

So wait until you receive your AP and EAD. It might be correct.

I would send a letter to INS requesting to correct misspelled names on all apllications.

I had the same problem. My lawyer sent a letter to INS. The FP notice had the correct name. Recently I applied and got EAD which has the correct name (no wonder since it\'s applied for EAD separately).
