My last name and last was wrongly ( means last and first name interchanged) written in the LC and I140 form.Which is the best place to correct the name

I would suggest doing this at the Consulate, if your case has already left the
NVC.

What if the case is still with NVC ?

I have a similar situation in which while filling DS230, I have used my father's name as it appears in the passport.
The actual name is slightly different in spelling which I may have used before (i.e. during labour / I140)

Would appreciate any help in sharing info.
