I got my first H1B approval notice recently and started work some weeks ago here in the US. Am planning to go Matamoros, Mexico for H1B stamping. Does anyone has experience in getting a H1B stamping for Indian Nationals in Matamoros, Mexico especially in respect to educational background and job description? Please share..
Can you also answer:
1. In the credit equivalency report, my educational background is equivalent to a Bachelors here. I have >7 years of work experience before this H1B. Does anyone have a knowledge on the pros and cons of getting an experiential equivalency? Is that an issue with the consulate?
2. How strict is the consulate in reading through the job description? I have totally been in a non IT role all my life and my current role is also as a functional resource. Does this raise a red flag as i have been told that H1 is for "speciality" occupations only?
3. How soon do they do the stamping?
Otherwise, I have maintained my legal status (the last 3 years on a different WORK visa) throughout, have all the paystubs, W2, and have worked/am working with Fortune 50 companies
