first EAD and SS#

Hi, Folks
Online status says that the card has been ordered and they will mail it as soon as its ready.
I just had my first EAD, and my question is how soon can I apply for a SS# and which documents do I need.

Apply for SS# after you receive your EAD card. Carry EAD card, passport, Drivers license to SSA office.
