Thanks to the very informative posts and provided documents here I was able to package everything together for my wife's AOS package (with AP and EAD).
The minor questions I still have:
- My wife is here on a F1 Visa. Since we filed the paperwork, does she need to maintain her F1 Visa requirements anymore? (She has not registered for the current semester but has until the end of the month). My understanding was that once we file the papers she is in a Limbo status and F1 isn't valid (which is why we need AP).
- To see everything online, I guess I'll receive a receipt from USCIS? How long to get this receipt (days/weeks)? According to USPS tracking they received the package on Dec. 30th.
The one comment I would like to make about the process was that much of the information on this site is now somewhat dated ever since the USCIS website change. There were many posts with links that were invalid.
There also seems to be debate about what is required and what is not. It most cases I took the safe route (color copies of passports/license/ etc, Notorizing forms, additional papers, etc). I think it would be helpful to have a required list and then a recommended list.
