FingurePrint Location

I have a question to the people who are done with their Fingure Print.

When you get letter for FP, do they (USCIS) clearly mention a location in your state of residance to go get your fingure print done, or they says that go to your local USCIS office?

my concern is do we need to go to home state or can it be done in any state considering that at the time of FP date applicant is on a short term assignment in other state.

Thanks

I think it would depend on who initiated the FP request. if it came from USCIS in regards to your I-485, the location would be for the local ASC of the city where you are live. You might have to call USCIS and maybe reschedule a new appointment at the center of your choice.

If its for your eEAD then they will ask you the zip number and you can give your current zip.

For EAD do they ask for zip code in the application. or at the time of FINGURE PRINT?

When you call to set up a biometric appt for e file EAD, they ask you your zip code since you are basically calling the USCIS service center.

As in all applications you are required to fill out your postal address at the time of filing the form including your zip code.

If you are within the same service center, it might not matter. However, if you are currently located in a city which comes under a different service center than where your I-485 is assigned to, I am not sure how that would work.

For Efile you don't call for appointment anymore. They schedule and send it to you. I got my appt within a week of efile application and they specified the ASC location (guess probably because it's in the same city I live!)

So is there separate Fingure print for EAD and I-485 done thru separate appointment?, or same works for both?

if you filed 485 and 765 together....you dont need FP for EAD/765......

but i have heard that if you e-file 765 standalone you have to go for some biometrics...
