Hi, they won't let you in before the scheduled date/time. They will allow you on the following Saturday (Oct 7th). I had my FP appointment on Aug 23 at 11:00 AM, same day I had a training too. I thought I will go at 9:00 AM they didn't let me in, he made me wait until 11:00 AM. Remember it will take around 3 hours not 30 min job.

I am not sure if you can go before your schedules appointment date/time. But for sure you can go afterwards (make sure you file reschedule appointment with USCIS).
I guess it also depends upon the ACS office where you are going. I have it seen mentioned somewhere in these forums before that you can walk into the ACS office with your appointment letter and they will either do it same day or ask you come at a later point of time or ask you to just come on scheduled date/time.

I had appointment tomorrow (Sept 30) for my kid FP, due to we are away from home, This morning I went into another ASC (nearest ASC for where we are, which is not the ASC assigned on the notice), and told them my situation, and they just let me do it without a question. it just took less than 30 mins (include waiting time and fill in form) .
I think it is depent on if the ASC is busy or not.
