Fingerprints for children under 12

Our 11 year old received notification to be fingerprinted (Biometrics).
As he is under 12 we never submitted the Biometrics Form for him with our I-485 packet.
Do we now have to complete a Biometrics form for him and take it to the appointment along with the $80 fee??
I am sure this has happened to other people..

You wouldn't need to complete biometric form neither pay fee for him (I didn't have to)
