fingerprints concern

I had fingerprint appointment for April 6, but because I was going to have international flight that day and I was't sure whether I am going to make it, I went on March 23 at that support center (in Van Nuys, Los Angeles) to see how are the lines. Surprisingly, they told me that I can give me fingerprints right now. I did, and they signed my notice, and told me I don't have to come on my original date April 6.
Now I am concerined - would this cause me any problems, or delay my application? I tried to call FBI to see if they processed the prints, but they told me they don't speak with the public. What do you think, should I do someting else at this point?

Thanks,
Stoil

dude relax.......you should be happy they took your fingerprints in advance...nothing to worry about....as long as they had all your information right for ex.ur case number and stuff it is perfectly allright....infact keep an eye on ur case status depending on ur do, your case status should dissapear very soon.i would be concerned only if my case status does not dissapear this month...

since you have mentioned ur do,go ahead and look in this forum on other threads as to what the average time is inbetween finger print date and interview date tht should answer your query...

how it will disappear?

I am not sure what do you mean? How my case number would disappear?

Thanks,
Stoil

How would be different getting an infopass and speaking with an immigration officer in person from calling the National Service Center on the 1-800 number? I called the 1-800 number and they told me they can't give any more information. They also told me that based on my zip code they are processing right now August applications, where do you see it that it takes 2 months for Los Angeles?

there you go buddy....http://boards.immigrationportal.com/showthread.php?t=132560

on a average your do takes 2 months between ur fp and iv....so i am guessing you might wanna take a infopass if you do not get a reply form them in the next 2 weeks...

when u log on to ur account to uscis and look for n400 case status...it gives this message:
Case Status
The status for this Receipt Number cannot be found at this time in this automated system. Please check your case receipt number to see if it is correct. If you have questions or concerns about your case status, please contact the National Customer Service Center.

National Customer Service Center (800) 375-5283

this usually means ur case has been transferred to ur do and u will be getting ur iv letter soon....
keep track of ur case status for the next 3 weeks...given the time line of la ,if it does not issapear then i guess should be a bit concerned

basically the guys in the call centre do not have much knowledge as to what is happening in the back end....where as an immigration officer is more precise and has knowledge and authority to dig on ur case, whether ur case has been stuck in or transferred to do whether u got ur name check clearence and miscelaneous things...

when you say that on average it takes 2 months for my DO from fingerprint to interview do you refer to the posted threads in this forum, or there is official way to check it? Because on the INS web site it says that the Los Angeles disctict office currently processes N-400 with recepit date August 25, 2005...
