I went for FP this morning at 0800 in Dallas Texas,it took less than 30 minutes before it was done to my astonishment.I was told that under normal circurmstances it takes not more than 10 days before clearence from FBI.I was granted asylum 01/95,I-485 rd 12/98,FP 10/03,GC approval hopefully soon.

My God. What took you so long to apply for GC? If you were granted asylum in 1995, I think you could have applied on 96 and not 98.... Good luck

I applied for asylum 11/93, granted 01/95 not 1996.Partly it i`m to blame because i believed the misinformation i got that i will be eligible for citizenship 4 yrs after i`m granted asylum regardless of when you get the GC.I did not even think that it could take forever to process the GC with INS i was told that it takes 6 mnths at the most to acquire it after you file I-485.Right now i`m facing the consequences but i won`t cry for spilled milk.
