Fingerprints before asylum interview

Hi guys
I have just found this helpful place and first of all I want to thank you for the great work!!
I sent my I-589 form december 17-th 2007 at the end of the one year period which was expiring 27th of dec 2007. I got it back first week of January 2008 because there was a field i've missed to complete (current location of parents). Together with my application was the postage stamp with the date they've received it. So i filled it and sent the application back. At this second sending I was already out of the one year rule. One week later (today 16th of January 2008) i received two letters.
One is Acknowledgement of receit of my form I-589 and the other is Asylum interview notice. The interview is scheduled for 31st of January in Arlington VA.
What bothers me here is that I Haven't got any letter for a fingerprint appointment. I read a lot and everywhere I read is said that the fngerprints are prior the interview. (even in the instructions is said that you first go for fingerprints)
Is my case something normal? Is there anything to worry about? Has anyone experienced something like this or know anything about it? Does this mean something and what should I expect at the interview?

Thanks and keep up the good work!!!

Nick

My friend dont worry, the fingerprint notice should be in the mail anytime soon. Simply focus on the interview, be prepared to give every details of your story. good luck.

asylum system these days is not good. decisions take months or years.

backlog in asylum decision like backlog in all applications.
