Fingerprints and Name Check

After getting fingerprinted, how soon can one find out whether the fingerprints were cleared? And how does one find out?

Also, how does one find out if the name check has cleared?

For cases with no problems, how long does it take after getting fingerprinted to get both of the above checks cleared?

Any experiences you can share would be appreciated.
